Become an ISA Member
If you would like to join us, you have two options:
-
You can become a regular member. This means that you become a member of the International Sociological Association (ISA) as well as a member of RC50. In the process of joining the ISA via the link, you will be asked which Research Committees you want to join. Make sure to select RC50 (“International Tourism”). If you already are a member of the ISA and want to join RC50, you can do so using the membership form in the member-area of the ISA website (login required).
In addition to the ISA membership fee, membership in RC50 costs 60 USD for a 4-year period if you live in a high- or middle-income country, or 40 USD if you live in a low or lower middle-income country (for Economies see https://www.isa-sociology.org/en/membership/table-of-economies-by-category. Students pay 20 USD or 10 USD respectively. -
You can become an affiliated member to RC50 only. This means that you only become a member of RC50 without being a member of the ISA. The membership fees for affiliated members are the same as those for regular members (except the ISA membership fee). See the section on Membership in our statutes to learn more about the different rights of the two types of membership. We strongly encourage regular membership and urge all RC50 members to also join the ISA. To register for affiliate membership only, please email the RC50 Treasurer, Adam Doering at adoering@wakayama-u.ac.jp, who will reply with subscription and payment information.
If you don’t want to become a regular or affiliated member just yet, you can get in touch with any member of the RC50 board [hyperlink to board page] to learn more about RC50 and the benefits of joining us.
Please direct any questions regarding membership fees to the RC50 Treasurer, Adam Doering at adoering@wakayama-u.ac.jp, who will reply with subscription and payment information.
